Typical Structure of a Literature Review

Most literature reviews follow a similar logic. You introduce the topic and why it matters, then you organize the discussion by theme, method, or chronology—whatever fits your field and question. You don't have to cover all paper ever written; you pick what's relevant and show how it connects.
